All Abilities Badminton Program


About the Program


The all abilities badminton program is for children and adults living with disability.

The program is suitable for participants aged 10+ of all abilities including targeted support for those with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down syndrome and other intellectual disability/impairments. 


There are regular sessions in Hobart and Launceston and all programs are free and you can borrow equipment.

Lasse Bundgaard is the Manager and Head Coach of the all abilities program. Lasse was National Coach and High performance Director at Badminton Australia for over 10 years and has coached at three Olympic Games.

Para Badminton Program


About the program

​

The Para-Badminton Program is suitable for participants ages 10+ with physical disability/impairment eligible for Para-Sports pathways. This includes wheelchair users and ambulant participants with various physical disability/impairments. 

​

Badminton is a sport at the Paralympic and the para badminton program have six sport classes.

​

Sport classes:

- Wheelchair (WH1 & WH2)

- Standing with lower limb impairment (SL3 & SL4)

- Standing with upper limb impairments (SU5)

- Standing with short stature

​

To participate it is not a requirement to qualify for one of the six classes or to have an Olympic dream. 

​

There are regular sessions in Hobart and Launceston and all programs are free and you can borrow equipment.
